C. X. Tranchemontagne

In 1892, Charles-Xavier Tranchemontagne opened his wool fabric, canvas and cotton import business in Old Montréal.

C. X. Tranchemontagne & cie, ltée was the first Francophone company active in the North-American textiles import industry. The company’s success was based on experience and trust – values on which Lieberman Tranchemontagne’s mission statement is based today.

In the late 1940’s shortly after WW II, the Lieberman family founded Les toiles Lieberman, an import, distribution and manufacturing company specializing in hotel and restaurant supplies. Respected in the industry and by its clients, the Lieberman name became the benchmark for quality.

In 1981, these two family-run businesses joined forces and Lieberman Tranchemontagne was created.
Our company has more than 100 years of experience in the industry, offering a complete line of hotel and restaurant supplies and providing impeccable customer service.
For more than 25 years our success has been guided by André L’Africain.
